What is a boonie?

A boonie is a fluffy, cute pet which you can buy on Movie Star Planet, kind of like a puffle on Club Penguin.  They come in three types, many different colours and some different sizes. You can feed them to make them grow, walk them and play with them like other pets. These are some boonies:

How do I get a pet?

You can buy a pet the moment you make your account. It doesn't matter what level you are, all you need is 900 star coins. You can also get a pet when you buy a years VIP membership, or with a code when you buy the MSP magazine.

First, go to the map by closing down anything you have open, then click the Pets section in the bottom right corner, indicated in red.

Then you'll see some options for different parts of the Pets section. If you want a pet that you can walk, feed and play with, go to the Pet part for animals, or the Boonies part for a boonie.

In the Pet shop, you can buy a cat, (called a Furball) dog, (called a Pupz) and if you're a VIP you could also get a dragon (called a Draco). In the Boonies shop, you can buy an Evil Boonie, Good Boonie and if you're a VIP you could also get a VIP boonie. The kind of boonie you get will only change what colour it is, but for all pets, it may not be the colour or shape they appear in the shop. All pets cost 900 star coins.

Just click on the one you want, then click 'Pay and go to room'. You will be taken to your Room, where you can place it and hatch the egg. To find out how to place a pet in your room, visit the Room Design page.

How can I choose the colour of my pet?

When you hatch your egg, the colour and design of your pet is chosen randomly. There are lots of different styles, colours and accessories your pet can have, but they are all chosen at random when the pet hatches.

The only way to change the colour and style of your pet is if you have diamonds. In the Diamond Shop, select the icon with a cat and dog on it, click the dog's head to choose the pet you want to change, then click the circle button to shuffle through all the different styles of pets. To change your pet costs 6 diamonds, so when you find the style you like, click 'Change'.

How do I give my pet accessories?

When you first get a pet, it shouldn't have any accessories. However, depending on the style your pet is, it should get accessories each time it grows.

How do I make my pet grow?

You need to feed your pet, and fill its food points bar. Whenever you click on your pet you should see the box below. The bar circled in red is the food points bar. There are nine food points in the bar, and when you reach ten food points your pet will grow. Remember, that's ten food points. Many people get confused and think you just need to fill the bar to nine, but you need to go beyond. Your pet can grow two times, and after that you just need to feed it to keep it from getting ill.

Click the hamburger to feed your pet. If you aren't a VIP you can give your pet one food point, but if you are a VIP you can click the VIP option to give it two food points. Both options cost 10 star coins, so if you're a VIP definitely go with the VIP option, your pet will grow much faster.

You can also grow your pet with diamonds. Either go to the diamond shop and click the icon with two dogs on, or click on your pet, click the hamburger and beside the two burgers will be an image of your pet when it's grown, which will make it grow to the next stage. It will NOT make it full grown.

How do I walk my pet?

You need to buy a pet from the Pet shop or the Boonie shop. The Zoo pets can only be put in your room, movies and artbooks, you can't walk them.

Simply click the image of a dog in your status box, then choose the pet you want to walk. Now, whenever you enter a chatroom you'll walk with your pet. Also, whenever you make a new status, people will see you with your pet, and if they click on your profile the pet will be there, too.

How do I level up my pet?

When you click your pet, one of the icons in the box that appears is a ball. Click the ball when you're in a chatroom, then a white ball will bounce out of your pet. Click the ball to keep it in midair. Each time you click it, your pet will gain a fame point. The trick is to click it really fast so that it will stay still in the air, then you can gain fame points really fast and easily.

Why is my pet ill? How do I make it better?

You need to make sure you feed your pet and wash it. When you don't wash your put for a while it will get a fly above its head, and then more until it has three flies above it.

To wash your pet, click the soap icon when you click on your pet, then just rub it on your pet. You'll know if it's working because bubbles will appear, and when your pet is clean you'll get 3 starcoins. Sometimes when MSP is lagging or slow, the bubbles won't appear, so it won't work. Just keep trying till MSP is properly loaded and you can see bubbles.

If you forget to feed your pets or don't come on MSP often enough, you can go to the Pets section of the map and store your pets in the Pet Hotel.

How do I make money from pets?
When you wash your pet, you'll get 3 starcoins. Also, if you ever see other people walking their pets, be sure to click on them and click the heart icon to pet their pet. Each time you do, you'll gain 3 starcoins.

I washed my pet, but on my profile it still has flies above it! What do I do?
If you were walking your pet before you washed it, and it still has flies over it when it's on your profile, just click the dog icon in your status box and select the dirty pet again to refresh it. The flies should go away.

I fed my pet so it grew, but it's still small on my profile! What do I do?
If you were walking your pet before you fed it, and it is still small on your profile, just click the dog icon in your status box select the small pet again to refresh it. It should be grown.
